Balance = Subscription Days + Received (Accepted) - Sent (All)

• Subscription Days = Total days subscribed since last Shmita
• Received = Sum of accepted incoming transactions
• Sent = Sum of all outgoing transactions (pending + accepted)

The Shmita Cycle

The Shmita (Hebrew: שמיטה, "release") is a biblical concept of a sabbatical year observed every seven years. In ancient Israel, during the Shmita year, agricultural land lay fallow, debts were forgiven, and slaves were freed.

Aube applies this ancient wisdom to the digital economy. Every 7 years, all balances reset to zero. This serves several purposes:

• Pending: Awaiting recipient response (sender balance deducted)
• Accepted: Recipient accepted (balance transferred)
• Declined: Recipient declined (sender refunded)

Key Rules

• Immediate Deduction: When you send money, it's deducted from your balance immediately
• Acceptance Required: Recipients must explicitly accept transfers
• Refund on Decline: Declined transfers are automatically refunded
• Cannot Overdraft: You cannot send more than your current balance
